Hey friends, so as you know my Happy Tuesday posts are always just like the above list. No explanations, just the simple things in life that have made me happy the past week. But I just want you all to be aware that I am currently struggling. If you've ready any past posts on my blog you've probably learned by now that I suffer from depression... and it's been bad lately. We're working on it and this week has already been so much better than last week, but I wanted to tell you that making these Happy Tuesday posts has been helping me a lot. Simply taking time to think about the little things making me happy has changed everything. Finding gratitude for the little things and being a bit more positive is doing wonders for my emotional health. I didn't write a post last week and I probably should have considering how bad things got last week, but I really want to encourage my readers to participate in Happy Tuesdays with me. They are helping me and maybe they can help you too. Even if you're late (like I was today) on writing your blog post, tweet, Tumblr post, Instagram photo, or Facebook post, be sure to tag it with #HappyTuesdays so I can see it too. 

I love all my readers and I hope that your week is amazing and you remember to find the small positive things in your life that make you happy. 

Style Icon: Demi Lovato

From the very beginning of this blog I have talked about my love of Demi Lovato. She is such a role model to me and I honestly love her so much. She is such an inspiration to me as a person, but she's also a style icon for me as well.

In high school I wanted her hair and throughout high school and my first few years of college, I had my hair specifically dyed to look similar to hers. And while now I don't have the desire to have her current hair (shaved side, crazy colors), a part of me will always want the way her hair once was (not that her current hair isn't awesome too, she totally rocks it, it's just not for me). But I've always loved her style as well. From her days on Sonny With a Chance and Camp Rock to now, I still love her style.

Demi always has a bit of a rocker in her. She'll wear a skirt with a leather jacket, or "Converse with my dress" and I love that! She also wears black as much as I do. Black is my favorite color. Dressing down or dressing up, she knows how to pair different items together and make it work. Her hair and makeup is always flawless, but she's also a huge promoter of #MakeupFreeMonday and often posts a makeup free photo on Instagram once a week. Through everything she's been though, she's all about having a positive self-image and uses herself as an example as much as she can. She loves her curves, different hair colors, and her freckles and isn't afraid to share them.

Demi Lovato has such a wide, but wonderful style and she always has and always will be one of my style icons, and most favorite celebrities in existence. And now, like always, here's a million pictures of her.

Song of the Week: For the Love of a Daughter // Happy

I listen to Pandora every morning while getting ready. It's so much fun! Lately my Pandora is obsessed with this song, and honestly, I am too. As I've said so very many times on this blog, I LOVE DEMI LOVATO!! I'll be honest and say her new CD isn't my favorite, but I just love her as a person. I want so very much to meet her because she is such an inspiration to me. I love this song so much because of the power and emotion behind her voice. There is no denying that this song really means something to her.

I also want to add in another song for this week. I swear every time I was driving this week this song came on the radio. I had this as the Song of the Week previously though so it's not the official song this week, but I just wanted to add it in, and it will also be on the Spotify playlist of this year's songs. Clothe Me In Robes

This blog is all about what to wear when you can't shop for new clothes. It's also nice because she's a teacher like I want to be someday. I don't love the layout of the blog and find it difficult to go through, but I love the outfits. 

Fairy-Tale Story Telling Basket

This idea is amazing! My husband says we aren't allowed to give our children toys because he wants them to play sports and have big imaginations. I only slightly agree with that. Our girls are getting my old American Girl dolls no matter what he says. But I do want our kids to have big imaginations. My husband and I both love writing stories and that's something we would love for our children as well, so this story telling basket is an incredible idea to build a love of story-telling in our kids. (But we are not pregnant yet.)

I don't really have words for this... yeah...

Song of the Week: Let it Go

I've written on this blog millions of times how much I love Demi Lovato! She is my idol and I just love her so so much! This song is beautiful and fantastic! She honestly has such a good voice. I like that she was a Disney girl and she's really branched out beyond that with her new album and The X Factor but she still supports Disney and hasn't gone too insane to do a song for them (yes, I'm thinking of Miley). I'm excited for Frozen to come out, I'm like addicted to Disney movies. I hope you enjoy this song, I think it's great and I love Demi Lovato!!! :)

I'm in love with this picture. It's both adorable and hilarious at the same time. Her face is just so cute! This picture reminds me of my husband and his love for fish and I'm sure he'll teach our daughter to love fish as much as this little girl. Ha ha!

My husband always tells me I look like Mila Kunis, I disagree, but I absolutely love her hair and makeup in this picture and it's a look that I would love to try out for myself.

Pinterest Sundays: Babies, Beds, Talia, Weight Loss, Harry Potter, and Demi Lovato!

I have a board on my Pinterest called "Kids are so Darn Cute!" and I couldn't resist pinning this adorable child onto it! This picture just melts my heart! At the bridal shower I hosted this week they were trying to figure out who of the two brides-to-be would have kids first. They were both complaining about kids and saying they just like playing with them for a little while and as soon as they start to cry, they don't want them anymore. I'm not like that at all. When I see a baby cry, I just want to hold them and make everything better. I love kids so much! I need to work in a daycare again because I really don't want to have a baby till I finish school.

Also, this pin had a quote with it: "Take time to laugh -it is the music of the soul." (from an old English prayer). I really like this quote.

So I pinned this picture because 1. This bedroom is very cute and organized and I wish mine was cute and organized and 2. I REALLY want to get and/or make an end bench like this one. I think it would complete our bedroom and make it much better. But pink or coral wouldn't go in our room. We'd need red or black or white (which were our wedding colors and the colors everyone bought for us for wedding gifts). This beautiful little girl passed away this week and I was so sad about it. She's was so incredibly beautiful and talented and had the most amazing heart and spirit. I know there is a very special place in heaven for people like her. Here is one of her makeup tutorials that I watched recently and am in love with:

I read through all these Harry Potter facts for fun the other day (because I literally have nothing better to do with my life). Chris loves Scotland and wants to live there someday. He served his LDS mission in and around Edinburgh and so I told him when we visit Scotland, we are visiting this hotel.

I've written before about how much I love Demi Lovato. She is beautiful and talented and a wonderful role model and inspiration to me, despite the fact that she's younger. I really truly look up to her. I love this quote.

River Monsters

Before I started dating Chris I was a bit more of a girly-girl and a bit high-maintenance. I hate camping (still do) and I thought fishing was lame and I didn't ever want to do it.

But this weekend I renewed my fishing license and got all excited that Chris would be giving me his old fishing pole!! He really changed me. Although I still will never touch the fish.. or the bait... that's Chris's job. :)

So when we started dating we became addicted to Netflix. We would watch shows till we finished every episode. One of the shows we went all the way through was River Monsters.

It's this great show where this guy, Jeremy Wade, goes around catching HUGE monstrous fish! And I'll be honest, I love the show! In fact, I'm watching it right now! Alone, in my bed. And earlier I was watching it in the family room and I think I got my dad to like the show.

When he catches the fish you just get really excited! I love it! If you haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out. But I got to go now, got to watch Demi Lovato on Dancing With the Stars. :)

Falling Over Me

Umm... so.... anyone who knows me personally, knows that I'm obsessed with Jon McLaughlin. Seriously. He is so attractive and so musically talented it just fills my heart with joy. I heart freaks out when I hear piano music, and that's his specialty. I love him. If you don't know him, please listen to him now:

So anyways, last week I was at Walmart and found Demi Lovato's album Here We Go Again on sale for $7.00. And anyone who reads this blog knows that I'm obsessed with Demi Lovato as well. So... turns out these two people, quite possible my two top favorite singers WROTE A SONG TOGETHER???

So I've heard this song before. Of the 1,684,232 views on that Youtube video... maybe 232 are just from me. Yet somehow I didn't realize the background vocals were Jon McLaughlin. I'm very ashamed at this fact. When I saw Enchanted for the first time, I knew the second he started singing that So Close was sung by Jon McLaughlin. But apparently I can't tell when he's just singing background... but I'm still very upset with myself.
