Sometimes I just like to write random thoughts that pop into my head, because... why not.
-I miss my beta fish. Juan and Sassy. They were awesome and then I gave them to my brother out of kindness and because I knew they wouldn't survive the trip to Texas, and within a month he killed them both. He told me Sassy died through a Snapchat and never told me Juan died. Stupid Snapchat. I had ten seconds to see my gay fish for the last time...
-I keep forgetting my new address. But give me a break. Chris and I have been married a year and a half and this is our fourth apartment. UGH! As much as I want to move out of Logan, I also don't want to move again for a while.
-Lately I've been obsessed with New Girl, because it's awesome. My favorite quote from this show is: "I just want to listen to Taylor Swift alone." Story of my life. :) But I also love Zooey Deschanel. She might be my next "Style Icon" on this blog.
-Speaking of Taylor Swift, I don't believe I've mentioned on this blog just how OBSESSED I am with her new song. And the music video. She's such an awkward dancer and I love it. And I know this song came out months ago and she just released a newer one, but still so obsessed. Taylor Swift will always be one of my favorites.
-I also don't believe I've mention specifically on my blog that my brother-in-law is getting married next month. It was on my Twitter and Instagram and maybe my Facebook, but I don't think I put it on the blog. Remember last year when I posted about my "new brother"? Well it's that brother, Sheldon. He's marrying this girl named Aubrey who is awesome and we're already like sisters and I helped her pick out her wedding dress and she is going to look FABULOUS!!! Seriously, that dress is amazing on her. Sheldon and Aubrey are also the newest members of "the dancing cow family" (AKA, liking my Facebook page), so they deserve a shout out for their awesomeness. Thank you!
-I just really want to dye my hair. I messed it up and it turned red and now my roots are growing in and it looks weird. I have a $50 gift card that can be used at over 100 spas and salons across the U.S. but none of those are in Logan. So lame. So either I have to pay full price and use my gift card at a later date or drive to Ogden to get my hair done, but with gas money I'm pretty sure that just makes it cost more. So annoyed right now.
-I love Lego video games. I played Lego Star Wars for like... two weeks, and now we're on the Lego Movie Lego game. It's awesome.
-I miss Avatar. Not the stupid blue people movie which I hate, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I watched two episodes last night and I'm just sad that it doesn't really exist anymore. Because honestly, that it one of the greatest shows there ever was and it's my favorite. It will always be one of my favorites and I am going to raise my kids to watch it all the time. In fact, it may be the only show I'll allow them to watch.
-I love fall!! But it's always so short in Utah I don't get to fully enjoy it before the snow comes. But I just love pumpkins. We bought a little pumpkin and it's adorable and I love it.
-Well I don't really have any more random thoughts for today. I think I'm going to go shopping now. And by shopping I mean, explore the mall and not spend any money.

This blog is all about what to wear when you can't shop for new clothes. It's also nice because she's a teacher like I want to be someday. I don't love the layout of the blog and find it difficult to go through, but I love the outfits.
This idea is amazing! My husband says we aren't allowed to give our children toys because he wants them to play sports and have big imaginations. I only slightly agree with that. Our girls are getting my old American Girl dolls no matter what he says. But I do want our kids to have big imaginations. My husband and I both love writing stories and that's something we would love for our children as well, so this story telling basket is an incredible idea to build a love of story-telling in our kids. (But we are not pregnant yet.)

I miss dance so ridiculously much! I went to Ballroom Fest this weekend and got to watch dance and compete (I got 4th) and I realized just how much I miss it! I'm going to talk to my old coaches and see if I can teach at their studio, because I really really want to!
When I first saw these pictures I thought "That would be really cool, I love Carrie Underwood" but I didn't think it was actually happening!! I'm getting excited for this, Carrie Underwood (AKA, one of my favorite female singers) in The Sound of Music (AKA, one of my favorite musicals)! Her voice is so incredible so I'm not worried about that, it's just a really difficult task to try to replace Julie Andrews, because Julie Andrews is a queen. In the Princess Diaries she played the perfect role, because she is honestly a queen. If I could only meet one celebrity, I'd probably pick Julie Andrews. She's so incredible!
This is called a "Blessings Bag". You're supposed to carry some around in your car and hand them out to homeless people. I wish there was a link with a list of what to include, but you can see some things in the picture anyways. Where this is the Month of Gratitude, I feel like it's time for us to give back to the world. I personally am so blessed everyday and there are people out there who can't afford the things that I can. I think this "Blessings Bag" is a wonderful idea to help others to feel a little better and maybe make a change in their own lives. I hope all my readers work this month to help others.

While I typically avoid all things Christmas until December, I just can't help it this year! My coworker has been listening to Christmas music since September and I'm getting super excited for our first Christmas as a married couple (not with my coworker, that sentence makes it sound like I'm married to my coworker, but I'm not, I meant my husband and I). I'm just so excited! I need a good Christmas playlist and all these songs are fabulous, so I'll be getting them together soon. :)

It's one month till my birthday!!!!! I'm so happy!!! But not at the same time, because I just realized how cold it's getting here and during my move to our new apartment, I lost the bag with all my winter hats and gloves... and I'm very upset.
Anyways, back to my birthday, I've always been one to get super excited for my birthday, because no matter what, I'm always happy on my birthday! And being happy is super important. Except this year I turn 23 and I don't know how I feel about that. That number just seems gross... and old... Can I be 22 for another year? Or even just skip to 24? There's just something weird about 23...
So since it's one month till my birthday, and my husband says I can no officially start talking about it (even though I've been talking about it for over a month) I am going to make my birthday wishlist!! Please don't think of me as selfish, I understand I am NOT going to get all these things and I don't care. It's just a guideline for anyone buying me birthday gifts (like my readers, you're more than welcome to buy my gifts, wink wink (I'm totally kidding, promise)).
This one I need. Honestly need. And CDs aren't that expensive. I've been hinting at this to my husband since it came out so if he doesn't get it for me, there may be trouble.

I've been talking about this since forever. I really want fish. I think technically they aren't allowed in our apartment, but I really want them!! I want two, a boy and a girl named Julio and Sassy. Yep. I've thought a lot about this.

I was bored and searching my Facebook and up comes a blog post of the 8 Most Annoying Taylor Swift Lyrics. Now I agree that the ones listed are pretty dumb and kind of annoying (except the Tuesday one, because I love Tuesdays) but I think it should really be called the 8 Most Annoying and Rude Comments About Taylor Swift's Annoying Song Lyrics. Seriously, I was sad for Taylor because that was just rude.
So, as my rebuttal, I'm making the list of my 8 favorite Taylor Swift Lyrics!! Because she needs some support somewhere, and I'm happy to give her some. (even if RED disappointed me)

See? Isn't that version so much better? I love it so much more than the real version because piano is my favorite instrument and it "cuts me to the core". When I was having major boy issues, I listened to this song/version constantly, and the line above is exactly how I felt. I thought I knew what was going on, and in a minute everything changed. I also love in this version the way she sings "Back up, baby back up, please back up!" Because it's so sadly-hauntingly beautiful.

This song was also criticized in the other article and I actually love this song. It's probably one of her most mature songs. It talks about how the mistakes you've made before do not make you who you are. This song was fantastic for me for some things that I went through and the above lines hit me pretty hard. "Who you are is not what you did." Just because I made mistakes, I am not my mistakes. I can be a better person regardless.

This is my favorite song off Taylor's new album. And I like the acoustic version too, but it's really slow. The above lyrics, I think, are beautiful and true. They are filled with wisdom of what love really is. It is a "worthwhile fight". Everything I went through was worth it to find Chris. :)

I think that this song gives excellent advice to fifteen year-olds. Teenagers take everything way too seriously and make things more dramatic than it really is. They want to be popular and date all the cool boys, but that's not what's important in life. Just take in each moment and make it wonderful. You'll move on from your silly crushes and the stresses of high school. Life goes on. This song is wonderful.
Well, there you have it. A few of Taylor Swifts redeeming lyrics. But trust me, she has more. Yes she writes immature lyrics sometimes (We are never, ever, ever...) but really it's a joke. I don't think she's really serious about them. Watch an interview of her, she is sort of a ditzy blonde, but she's still pretty smart too. And very elegant. I have a special place in my heart for Taylor Swift because we're close to the same age, her lyrics relate to her growing up and I'm growing up right along with her. She does have weird and sometimes annoying lyrics, but it really bugged me that the other article had to be so mean about it.

Ha ha, yeah, I'M ENGAGED! Chris surprised me on our picnic. I plan on tell the whole story in a different post because, thanks to my amazing new FIANCE, my family was hiding and taking pictures of the whole event. So when I get the pictures off my dad's camera I'll write about his proposal (I'll try to keep it from being to lovey-dovey).
Well I hope all my readers had an amazing weekend like I did (somehow I think i win though...).
So it began with two of my favorites, co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Let's be real, Carrie Underwood is simply fabulous in every way. However I was upset that they poked fun at Taylor Swift. Yes, her new song We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is very childish and silly and easy to make fun of, but Taylor Swift has a very special place in my heart. She wrote songs about and for teenage girls while I was a teenage girl. She wrote her songs for me! And so I support her in many ways. Yes her song is silly, it's sort of okay to make fun of it, but please don't make fun of her dating situation. Observe:
Did anyone else notice how much she freaked out at the end there? Taylor Swift is growing up and trying to act more mature (though her latest song doesn't show it...) And I don't blame her for failed relationships, I've been through many failed relationships. Relationships are hard. Don't give up Taylor! You are a huge superstar anyways, who needs a man? ;)
She really is so beautiful. I loved her dress for these award. She looks fantastic in red. And whomever introduced her to red lipstick, bravo, it really looks good on her. And while I've never wanted to be a blonde, I've always loved her hair. Did anyone else also notice that Taylor Swift didn't win anything this year? I think that's a first for her. I love her performance. Again, she's stunning in red. And I'm rather fond of that song. I'm hoping to either get her new album Red for my birthday on Sunday or get iTunes gifts cards to buy it. Either way, I want her CD soon.
Again, Carrie Underwood is simply fabulous. I love this dress! If I could get married in this dress, I would. I think that Carrie isn't the best host, but she's beautiful to look at and kept appearing on stage in new fabulous dresses. I went to one of her concerts in Salt Lake and I'm pretty sure her second job is a quick dress change artist. She sang Blown Away which was great, it's a wonderful song, but she sounded a bit flat. However, Carrie Underwood's songs are nearly impossible to sing because her voice is just so incredible, so maybe somedays she has a hard time singing her songs just like everyone else. I was a little sad she didn't win Female Vocalist, but I'll accept Miranda Lambert, I love her too.
Moving on to Miranda Lambert, no, her dress was not quite as stunning. I love the skirt, the top just didn't seem to fit her right. And the neutral color didn't do her any good either. Sorry Miranda! Fun Fact! I have an autograph from Miranda Lambert when she came to the Sandy Amphitheater. Nobody knew who she was and there weren't many people there, but I got to talk with her and get an autograph. So I'm pretty cool. :)
Miranda and her husband Blake Shelton were fabulous tonight! Miranda won Female Vocalist of the Year, Blake won Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. And together they won Song of the Year, by writing Over You together about Blake's brother. It was so cute to see them on stage winning that award and it see their bond and their love for each other. Miranda was very emotional and crying, which is adorable considering it was Blake's brother and dad (although she is now in their family, but still, a very cute moment). Both seemed very surprised by their awards and very humble. I loved how Miranda, when accepting her award, talked about all the other nominees and how much she loved them and how she didn't feel she deserved the award. She's just cute sometimes. Blake seemed in shock for winning Entertainer of the Year, but to me it makes sense. The name "Entertainer of the Year" should mean something. Blake is always on The Voice, entertaining, he sang Footloose for the new movie, entertaining, and he release some pretty amazing song, also very entertaining. While I love Keith Urban and would have loved to see him win, Blake really did deserve it.
I love Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. I'm pretty sure they're the cutest couple ever! I loved their duet during the tribute to Willie Nelson. I loved Faith Hill's solo song, she did beautifully. But, two things 1. Did anyone else think her teeth looked weird? I mean this in the best way possible. It only looked like she had braces on. Which is fine! I had braces for 2 years. That's just what it looked like to me, no big deal. But 2. She looked really skinny. Like sickly skinny. And it worried me and my mom because we love her so much! So Faith Hill, I truly hope you're healthy, I hope you are taking care of yourself. You're incredible, I'm kind of jealous of your husband, and I love you!
Tim McGraw, what can I say, you're amazing. Congratulations on winning Musical Event of the Year with Kenny Chesney (even though I'm not a Kenny Chesney fan).
My mom is a huge fan of Little Big Town and I like them a lot as well, but... Pontoon, is probably my least favorite of all their songs. I'm happy for them for getting more recognition and getting on top with this song, but I'm not the biggest fan of it. Congratulations for winning Single of the Year with Pontoon and Vocal Group of the Year! You guys really deserve it. You all looked great on the red carpet and while performing. Karen's dress while performing is my new favorite dress ever. And anyone reading who doesn't really know Little Big Town, please listen to Boondocks. It's a great song.
Hunter Hayes is adorable. He deserved to win New Artist of the Year for sure. However, it really bugs me that his song Wanted is sung "wan-ned". There is a "T" in there. Sorry, I'm a future English teacher.
Eric Church won Album of the Year with Chief, which I personally don't love, but good for him anyways! :)
Even though he wasn't there Toby Keith won Music Video of the Year with Red Solo Cup. A fun little song that proves Taylor Swift isn't the only one writing childish music. :) I do love this song though. It makes me laugh, like most Toby Keith songs do. I love you Toby Keith!!
Mac McAnally won Musician of the Year... maybe I'm just a horrible country music fan, but I actually don't know him... sorry. So I don't have anymore to say. Congratulations though!
How could anyone not love Willie Nelson? I loved the tribute to him featuring Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Mickey Raphael, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and of course Willie Nelson. He won the first ever Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, which is well deserved. :)

Kimberly from Little Big Town wore this fabulous dress. I loved it. I thought she looked gorgeous and I realized how much I love her hair up. Her makeup was beautiful and her jewelry simple yet elegant.
Yahoo! voted this dress one of the worst, but I don't mind it too much. I love the matching green shoes and clutch. And I kind of just love Hayden Panettiere. This dress reminds me more of the stuff I see at ballroom competitions, not the red carpet. But I still love her and I like her neutral makeup a lot.
Who doesn't love Reba? I think she always knows how to look fabulous. She's funny, talented and very pretty. I adore her shoes and this bright blue dress looks fabulous on her!
Yahoo! also didn't like this one... Maybe it's just because red and black are my favorite colors, but I think that Kimberly Perry looks fabulous. It's a very simple dress, yes, but it's classy, I love the accent of the red belt and I think she just looks very well put together. Maybe I'm not be best fashion expert though. :)
I love this light blue dress on Kellie Pickler! It's a very beautiful and elegant dress! If anyone doesn't know, she shaved off her pretty blonde hair in honor of her friend diagnosed with cancer, and she still looks fabulous with no hair. I love her. She's so funny. Kellie looked great tonight!
My family loves Lady Antebellum! We've been to all their nearby concerts and gotten their autographs. They all looked fabulous on the red carpet. I love a man in a nice clean suit...

Okay, so if you haven't yet, just go to youtube and watch clips of Ellen's show. It is the greatest thing ever! Especially all her clips of Sophia Grace and Rosie... or Kristin Bell and the sloth... or all her scaring her guests... especially Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler... basically I just love Ellen. I also love making lists. So here's my top 10 reasons why I love Ellen Degeneres.
1. She always has the best guests on her show. More than that, she has them do great things. Zac Efron singing with Taylor Swift? Yes please!
2. She's very dedicated to what she does. She constantly is saying how much she loves her job, the people she gets to interview, and all her viewers. But more than that, Ellen works when she sick or in pain. She once did a whole show while lying in bed because of her back pain. (sorry for the not so great quality, it's an older video)
3. She cares about real people and real situations. Example, the episode I'm watching right now, she's bringing a high school girl on the show who does all she can to be a straight A student, but she's homeless. She's giving her and her family money for clothes and food. But my personal favorite (because they are from USU) was when she brought in all the people who lifted a burning car off a person in a motorcycle accident.
4. She does good things for other people. Ellen is a vegetarian and does her part to help all animals. She helps people after disasters. She raised money for charity. She's just great.
5. Her Clumsy Thumbsy clips just kill me. (The last one on this clip is mine and Lindsay's favorite!)
6. She can dance. (Sorry it's not the best quality)
7. She scares people... and it's hilarious.
8. She can influence stars to do wonderful things. ;)
