Song of the Week: Mona Lisa

I have no real reason for putting this as the Song of the Week other than that I've always liked it. And that's it.

Today my cousin is going through the temple and we get to go with her! I'm really excited, it's been much too long since I've gone and I think I really need the peace the temple brings because we are moving in ONE WEEK!!! Crazy!! My parents will be up here as well and since my mom is like a superhero organizer, she's going to help out a bit with all our packing and cleaning.

This week I will be spending my time packing, so I will not be blogging again until after the move. I have three posts scheduled this week: my April Review, the introduction to May's Charity of the Month, and the books for Book Club for May. But other than that, I will not be posting on here and who knows when we'll get wi-fi and I can post again. So be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter so you can keep up with what's going on with the move. I'll also try to post on Facebook as well, but sometimes it's harder to do on my phone. Also, you might as well go ahead and follow me on all those social media sites because I'm planning a big giveaway for my followers!!

Thank you all so much for reading and I hope I can talk to you again soon!!

Song of the Week: Trouble Maker

So for the longest time (since this song came out) I would get so excited when it came on the radio and I was just so in love with it, but when I got back home I completely forgot about it. Which is why even though I have loved this song from the beginning, it's never been my Song of the Week. That's also why I never had this song on my iPod. But this week I heard it twice and I wrote down that I needed to make this the Song of the Week, so here it is. I just love how catchy and fun this song is and I just want to dance to it!

If you follow me on Instagram you may know that my blog went over 61,000 page views this week! I am truly grateful for all my blog friends! You all mean so much to me and I appreciate all your love and support! Thank you for making this blog possible!

Song of the Week: If I Had A Million Dollars

If I had a million dollars I would pay off my student loans, my husbands students loans and my debt to my parents and then buy myself a car (because I'm so sick of not having a car and having all my cars taken away by brothers (three times this has happened)) and then honestly I'd probably just stick the rest in my bank account. Maybe buy my parents something nice, they deserve it from all the money they spent on me through dance and me being poor in college. Honestly, I am ridiculously good at talking myself out of buying something, I never buy anything unless it's on sale or I really truly feel I need it. I don't think I would be wasteful with a million dollars.... does that little speech win me a million dollars? Because I could really use it right about now...

Anyways, this week we were cleaning the walls at work and Aggie Radio played this song and it reminded me of roadtrips with my family and just how much I love this song!!! I love Barenaked Ladies!! One time on ballroom tour I said that phrase excitedly in a Wendy's and this older woman glared at me. I meant the band... Basically I'm in love with this song and it's a song I grew up listening to a lot, but it's been a long time since I've heard it.

What would you do with a million dollars? Let me know in the comments below!!

Song of the Week: I Can Only Imagine

A few days ago I heard this song on the radio and remembered just how happy it makes me. I've been struggling a lot lately and my life just feels like it's falling apart but I'm trying to forget about all the trials and focus on what God wants from me. In high school I did my senior solo to this song because I went through hell and back and it was only through my Father in Heaven that I was able to make it through. I absolutely love this song and it truly speaks to me in a very special way.

This weekend is General Conference!! I am super excited to hear the words of the prophets of God and to learn more and hopefully get some of my questions answered. Later today I am posting the top ten reasons why I love General Conference, so don't forget to come by later and check it out! You can learn all about the LDS General Conference HERE and learn how to view or listen to General Conference HERE and if you have any further questions feel free to leave a comment or send me an email at thedancingcowblogger@gmail.com. THANKS!!

Song of the Week: Dark Horse

I'll be honest, I still can't decide if I like this song or not. I think I like the parts where she's singing best, but other than that I don't. But I don't know. But it's the Song of the Week because it has been stuck in my head all week long, so maybe this will get it out of my system.

Song of the Week: The Man Who Can't be Moved

Seeing as it's almost St. Patrick's Day, I decided to do a song from an Irish band. I'm so clever. Anyways, I absolutely love The Script and this is probably my favorite song by them! It's just so wonderful, such a hauntingly beautiful love song. I love it ever so much and I hope you love it too!

And to further celebrate St. Patty's Day, here's a real Irish song:

Song of the Week: The Logical Song

I can't remember a single car ride with my family that didn't involve this song. My mom wanted to listen to country, my dad did not, and one of the only CDs my family could all agree on was Supertramp (and ELO). When we were little my sister and I would turn on this Supertramp CD and dance around in the living room to it. Supertramp has a special place it my heart for all the happy memories it brings back to me. I love this song, I love the album, and I basically just love Supertramp.

And yesterday I heard this incredible cover of Say Something (which I'm already in love with) and I just couldn't let this song go by without immediately being up on my blog. So here is the second song of the week that I am beyond in love with and just want to listen to over and over again. Chills. Major chills.

Song of the Week: Wasting All These Tears

I really like this girl and I really like this song. It's been stuck in my head for a while so I figured it would be a great song to make the Song of the Week! I don't have anything else to say on the matter.

Welcome to March everyone! I hope this month goes better for me, this year has been weird so far...

Song of the Week: Arms

Words cannot describe how much I love this song. When I met Chris, this was the song about our relationship. It was so hard for me to let myself fall in love, but I'm so glad I did, because my husband completes me in a way no one else ever could. I love this song so so so so so so much!!! It's a different sort of love song, but it's definitely one of my favorites.

Song of the Week: Tattooed Heart

I love this song so much! But let's talk about that performance for a second. This is what more celebrities should do. While we enjoy a good performance and entertainment, it is absolutely incredible to see a young star like Ariana Grande just standing solo at a microphone and singing like a major superstar. Her voice is so incredibly and I thank whoever helped direct this performance that they saw this song and her voice didn't need a production, she could make this song amazing just with her voice. Ariana Grande is one of the few celebrities out there right now who actually has a good voice (which is so sad when you think about it) and she is so incredibly talented that she doesn't need a production to make her look good. And I am so obsessed with her and think she should be my friend...

It's my husband's birthday today!! I'll write about how we're celebrating it later next week, but just know we're having a great time. :) As I've been doing for February, I picked a love song for the song of the week, and while this isn't the love song between my husband and I (I'm saving that one for our anniversary) it's a song that I think can work well with our relationship. We're stuck together forever, much like a tattoo. I love my Christopher so very much and am glad we have eternity to spend together!

HAPPY 25TH BABY!!!

Song of the Week: She's Everything

It's February. The month of Valentines Day and my husband's birthday. So what better way to celebrate than by doing love songs for the month of February! And I can't think love songs without thinking about Brad Paisley. This song is adorable and I love it so much!

This is my 500th blog post! Yay me! In only a year and a half, I clearly write too much.

Song of the Week: For the Love of a Daughter // Happy

I listen to Pandora every morning while getting ready. It's so much fun! Lately my Pandora is obsessed with this song, and honestly, I am too. As I've said so very many times on this blog, I LOVE DEMI LOVATO!! I'll be honest and say her new CD isn't my favorite, but I just love her as a person. I want so very much to meet her because she is such an inspiration to me. I love this song so much because of the power and emotion behind her voice. There is no denying that this song really means something to her.

I also want to add in another song for this week. I swear every time I was driving this week this song came on the radio. I had this as the Song of the Week previously though so it's not the official song this week, but I just wanted to add it in, and it will also be on the Spotify playlist of this year's songs. So without any further ado, I present Happy:

Song of the Week: I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)

Firstly, this song just reminds me of How I Met Your Mother (see video below) and secondly, this version is one of the most beautiful and romantic things I've ever heard in my life! Thank you to the random girl on Twitter I started following that shared this song on Twitter. You made my life complete just by this song. So so so so so beautiful!

And now, the How I Met Your Mother version:

Song of the Week: I See Fire

This song is so beautiful and I absolutely love The Hobbit! This song deserves to be shared everywhere, it's just amazing! Also, who else loves The Hobbit movies? The first one is building up it's spot on my list of favorite movies. It's just a fantastic movie that was so beautiful done. I love it! I really need to see the second one again though, because I went to the midnight premier and was tired so I need to see it again to really comprehend it, because I was confused at some parts. Anyways, I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday!

Song of the Week: Everybody's Got Somebody But Me

When we first heard this song, my husband and I had a disagreement. He was positive that Jason Mraz sang it and I was sure it was Hunter Hays, we didn't find out until later that we were both right. And we both love this song so very much! It just puts me in a good mood and makes me smile, even though I suppose it's a sad song... Anyways, I hope you enjoy the song of the week!

I have been so obsessed with this song for so long and I'm so happy to finally make it Song of the Week! I wanted to all December but chose to just do Christmas songs. Song of the Week: All I Want For Christmas...

This is by far my favorite version of this song... EVER. This version just makes it seem so much more romantic, and I absolutely love that! Michael Buble is the greatest! So I apologize I've been gone all week I just barely (literally five minutes ago) got internet in my apartment. So now I can write more! Yay! Anyways, this is the song of the week. I hope you're all as excited for Christmas as I am. It'll be great! :)

Song of the Week: Last Christmas

I'm so obsessed with Ariana Grande and this version of Last Christmas is fantastic! Although yesterday Chris and I were discussing how it's the most/only depressing Christmas song there is and it's just weird. I'm getting so excited for Christmas!!!

Again, at the end of the year as my Christmas gift to you I am going to make available a Spotify playlist of all the Song of the Week songs I've done this year. I only started doing it in August so the list is smaller than it will be next year, but in my opinion it's still a great list of songs! Get excited!!

It's moving day for us! Today we're moving into our new, cheaper apartment. So things will be a bit crazy for us this weekend and next week as we get everything settled. I'll be doing an apartment tour next week to introduce you to our new place.

If you have any suggestions for what I should write about please leave a comment below.
