3rd Year Anniversary Thoughts

I knew today would be difficult. Mother's Day. I was supposed to be a mom by this point, but instead I had to go to church and listen to adorable kids sing about their mother's, listen to talks about mothers, and cry over the fact that I'm not a mom.

But being able to spend my day taking care of my injured husband and practicing my motherly skills was good enough for me.

 I love the relationship that I have with Chris. We are always able to laugh and joke. When we fight, we are too busy making jokes and quoting our favorite movies and TV shows to truly be mad at each other.

I love Chris so much. I love being married to him. I love having him as my best friend. I love that he's my partner in everything. I love the life that we've created together. I love that he takes care of me. I love being in love with him.

Today was hard. I want us to be a family. Not just with each other and our puppy, but with children of our own. There's no one else I would want to start a family with. There's no one who could be a better dad to our future children. And there's no one who I'd rather go through this heartbreak of not being a mom yet with.

I'm so happy we're at three years of marriage, because I've come to find that the longer we're together, the more I love him. Eternity with Chris is the happiest and greatest thing to ever happen to me.

Our Wedding!!

37 days till our wedding!! We are getting super excited! All the big stuff is ready; the venue, the cake, the dress, the tuxes, the invitations, etc.

Our cake is going to be super delicious, so be prepared for that (ironically, my new lotion I bought to help me look tanner for my wedding, smells like our wedding cake...).

The venue is gorgeous! I'm so in love with it! It has the most beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and the lighting in there is fabulous. It's such a pretty place and everything will be perfect in there!

Chris is going to be looking very sexy at our wedding. My dress is the most dress in the world! I'm so in love with it! I just dropped it off at the seamstress so it can get sleeves added to it. I'm a little worried about my dress in that place though. It's not a very clean place. And it's small. My dress is rather large and so I'm a little worried. But I know she'll do a great job on the sewing.

The flowers we're ordering tonight! They will be so beautiful! I love anemones! They are gorgeous! My bouquet will be wonderful, so long as we figure out how to make a bouquet.

All our engagement pictures are done, but we haven't gotten the second round back yet. So we can't get our invitations completely finished. But it's designed, we just have to put the pictures in the design. They will look really good and I'm so excited we can send them out soon!!

I hope you're all so excited for our wedding!! If you haven't given me your address yet and you want an invitation, I really need it! Thanks everyone for your love and support! I can't wait to see you at our wedding in 37 days!! :)

Celebrate America Show!

Last night I had so much fun at the Celebrate America Show in Logan. It was great to see my ballroom friends and see Christopher!  Thanks again Tiffany and Kyle for getting me free tickets! You two are the greatest!!

Date Night

So last night my amazing sister drove me to Kaysville so I could go on a date with my wonderful boyfriend. Goodness, we had only been apart a week, but it felt like forever! It was so good to see him again! So we went to the drive-in movies in Riverdale. I absolutely love that place now! $7 for two movies? Perfect! Even more fun was that we got to sit in a pile of blankets and pillows in the back of his parent's Pilot, eating Wendy's and popcorn. Perfect scenario.

Except for one thing. It was a double date (that's not the bad part) so the other guy (Ben) picked the movies.  We saw The Campaign and The Watch, both of which were rated R, and both were terrible. I've never heard that much continuous swearing in my life. Not to mention they were just stupid! It's like the actors were trying to be funny, but they really weren't. And throwing aliens in there? Just weird. Neither movie had that great of a story-line and it was just dumb. So we decided we'll never see an R rated movie again unless we do our research on it (we approve of Slumdog Millionaire).

It was fun though to ignore the movies. I would turn around and watch Batman sometimes. And we had conversations about our week since we hadn't seen each other. So despite the stupid movies, it was really fun! I spent the night at Chris's parent's house and then he drove me back this afternoon. It's hard to leave him, it never gets any easier to leave him (even though he thinks it's easy for me).

Week in Photos: August 6th - August 11th

So this has been such a fun and eventful week! So I didn't get my room all organized like planned. I have a lot more stuff than I thought, so it's a struggle. But when everything is all done I'll show it to you. :)

Wednesday: On Wednesday my work gave me a going away party/dinner. They invited my best friend Nick DeFilippis to come and Craig (Fritz) brought the cutest cupcakes (shown above)! His sister decorated them and they were delicious! The barn was especially for me because barn rhymes with Farnes. :)

Thursday: So it was Jimmy Johns Customer Appreciation Day. For anyone who doesn't know, I'm obsessed with Jimmy Johns. I probably have it once a week. So getting two subs for $2.42 was the most fantastic thing of my life! The line went around the store but it was totally worth it! :)

Friday: So it was the Cache Valley Fair and they had lots of cool displays and animals (all shown below). It was tons of fun spending my last day in Logan with Chris at the fair. :)

Saturday: All packed up to leave. We barely fit all my stuff in my dad's Rav-4. It was so hard and sad to say goodbye to Chris....

Moving Day

Last night Chris and I were snuggling, playing a game, and we decided that it doesn't feel real yet... that it hasn't really sunk in yet that I'm leaving. This move is especially hard because I don't know the next time I'll see Chris. I really hope I can get a car soon so I can drive up to Logan to visit Chris. This is really hard for me... :(

So my apartment checkout time is at 9:30 (twenty minutes from now). The problem is, my family isn't here yet, nor will they be here for a while (I think, I can't get in contact with them). So all my junk is just piled on my bed. And I have a lot of junk! (Pictures are coming!) This is obviously a lie because my stuff isn't all junk. But the checkout lady said I could leave my stuff on my bed. So my bed is piled with stuff. Now on my old blog I talked about my broken box-spring and how I was standing on my bed and it collapsed... so I'm really hoping my bed doesn't collapse before the checkout lady gets here, because there's a lot of stuff on it, so it's possible.

This week has been AMAZING!!! Chris did a great job at making sure my last week in Logan was fun and eventful. So my "Week in Pictures" post tomorrow will be full of goodies. I did mean to spread it out throughout the week, and then just have reminder pictures for Sunday's post, but Chris kept me busy, so I wasn't ever able to post about my week. So tomorrows post will be long and full of many pictures and exciting things!! Be excited!

So I'm planning on posting again tonight after I get everything set up and settled in at home. I'll have pictures and I'm sure some good stories so come back tonight for more about my move. I really wish Chris could come back to help me. It would be so much better if he came with us to move my stuff and spent the night, but he has to work tonight. He's worked every night this week. I'm very proud of him because he usually only works 3 or 4 times a week.... often less. So working all week is good for him.

So if anyone knows of any jobs available in Sandy/Salt Lake area, keep me posted. Or just hook me up. All my readers are awesome! I'm trying to find a better theme for my blog, if you have any suggestions, let me know! :)

Leaving

Yesterday I had a panic attack. Why am I leaving Logan? Why am I moving away from Chris? Why am I putting off my schooling? Blah, blah, blah....

I realized that moving home feels right. I haven't been very happy in Logan. School was hard, I wasn't too fond of my job, and I've never really liked the city. Chris makes me happy (I have to clarify that) but I need a time, just a little time, to do my own thing. I'm moving home. I feel that my ability to find a well-paying job is much greater in the Salt Lake Valley. I won't be paying for rent or food, only for car rides up to Christopher. I'll be saving money and then I'll be able to finish my schooling. I think I've calmed down since yesterday. I can do this. Chris and I can do this.

I'm excited to move home even if it means leaving Chris. I think we have a very strong and loving relationship and nothing is going to change that. I'm moving home for my future to be better, to have the money I need for school. I'm excited and nervous, but overall, I'm happy.

My Week in Photos: July 28th - August 4th

So I spent the week in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with my family. SO MUCH FUN!!! It doesn't matter that we go every year and do most the same things, I never get tired of it. This year Chris got to come up for a few days which made me super happy because all last week he was in New York, so I didn't get to see him. It was the longest we've been apart since we started dating (which we've been dating 9 months and 1 day, not too shabby). So I have over 300 pictures from this week, so I'm going to condense it as much as I can, and if you want to view more, just check out my facebook.

Saturday: Shopping trip with the family

I love how we always go to Jackson during the fair. This year there were a bunch of lemurs sleeping and snuggling. Apparently they did a show, but we never saw it. 

We took a free train ride around the fair. It was really fun! 

This year there were stingrays that you could pet. They always scare me, but I still pet them. 

All these kids jumped into this pool to catch fish with their bare hands. So much fun to watch! 

Nick was able to do it and ended up catching 3 fish! We gave them away though because we had no use for cute little fishies. 

Sunday: Figure 8 races!!! Super fun! I love these so much. They are so entertaining. :) 

Monday: The Things. Nick and Alexandra are best friends! 

We all went on a rafting trip down the Snake River. It was so much fun and exhausting! We all got soaked! 

Tuesday: We went on a hike to Taggart Lake. Mom wanted a picture of the kids in front of the Tetons.

Chris arrived and we went into town. He met Abraham Lincoln. :) 

Reunited after a week and a half apart!!! :) 

We got caught in a sudden thunderstorm. The entire lane filled up with water! We tried waiting for the storm to pass, but ended up crossing the street anyways. We both got soaked and when I stepped onto the street, the water went well above my ankle. It was an excited adventure. :) 

That night we took the gondola up the mountain.

Wednesday: We went to String Lake with all the family. We got to canoe, play on the party boat, and were in a big splash fight with Nick and Alexandra. We were there most the day and Chris got really sunburnt, I only got a little red, but it's just a tan now. 

We took the scenic route back to the condo and got more pictures. 

That night we saw Dark Knight Rises (for the first time). It was such a good movie and so much fun! 

Thursday: Chris left Jackson and we had fun on all the benches in town. Here's me with Mark Twain.

My Uncle Cory surprised Alexandra with a new long board. It was really cool! Happy birthday!!! :) 

We took the gondolas again, this time with everyone. 

Sometimes it's hard to get a family photo... but I love that about my amazing family. :) 

Friday: We had to leave Jackson early to go to Rexburg for Uncle Dick's funeral. It was a sad occasion, but a really good funeral. 

Saturday: We went to the Rexburg Cemetery and I got to see my Grandpa's headstone for the first time. It's beautiful. I miss my Grandpa a lot. 

(said very jokingly) "How cool! My name's on a headstone!" --mom. 

Later we went to visit my Grandma's old house. It's destroyed, but it was so cool to see. 

I took tons of photos because I find it so amazing that my Grandma lived here growing up. My family has been truly blessed through all our lives. 

When I came back home Saturday, Chris greeted me with a shirt from New York and a dozen beautiful red roses. I'm the luckiest girl in the whole wide world!!
