Sunday Scrapbook | September 24th - 30th, 2017

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH

Our girls turned two weeks old while still in the NICU. But we got great news while visiting them... Zoey could come home on Tuesday!!

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 25TH

Zoram has just a few days left as the only "child" in the home. He also likes to lay on my laundry as I'm folding and getting ready for the girls to arrive.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH

So on Monday morning, the girls were given a new formula to try to help with their spit-up issue. Zoey's return home is delayed, but Makell's is moved up and both girls are able to come home on Wednesday!!

Oh, and Chris and I visited Walmart and looked at Halloween costumes. These masks are awesome and I want them.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH

We took the girls to the pediatrician, which was quite an adventure. Zoey weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces and Makell weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces. Both are bigger than their birth weights, but they're still tiny. The onesies they're wearing are preemie size, but I don't have much in preemie. They'll be wearing clothes a little bigger for a while.

Our first day together was like a dream come true. I've waited for this for so long. I am finally a mother and my girls are better than I could have ever imagined. I am so truly blessed.

You can watch their homecoming vlog on my YouTube channel HERE.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH

Chris worked most the day, but the girls got a visit from their Uncle Nick and Grandma Ostrowski. We all stayed in jammies all day and it was a lazy, comfy day. That night we all watched our Utah State Aggies beat BYU! Even though Chris and I no longer go to school at USU, we're big supporters.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 30TH

(Makell has a lipstick kiss on her forehead.)

My life is completely different with these girls in my life, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We had fun spending the whole day together. I love dressing them up in cute outfits (and getting through summery dresses like this while it's still warm, but the cold is definitely coming).

Chris is such a good dad and he loves these girls so much. He works so hard to make sure they have the best life. We're struggling with me no longer working, but he is the best help by being such a hard worker and still volunteering to help out with the girls and having to deal with the needy Zoram. I love him. I married a winner.

A huge thank you to my lovely visiting teachers for bringing over dinner. Honestly, do you see that picture? I could never make something as amazing as this. That's homemade bread! It was all so delicious and I am so truly grateful for all the kindness and generosity of my neighbors in these crazy first few days with the twins.

My Life Is Different - Sunday Scrapbook

Hello friends! "Sunday Scrapbook" is a segment where I share photos and stories from the past week. And while I'm pretty sure in the past year I've only done 2 other posts, it's a segment I enjoy a lot. Hopefully we'll be doing more in the future.

I spent this past week unemployed, sitting in my apartment stressing over Heroes & Villains and moving, both of which basically happened in the same day.

Yesterday Heroes & Villains premiered on my blog! I'm not going to talk too much about it in this post, but if you want to learn more you can find all the information you need by CLICKING HERE. Basically it's a series of short stories I've written specifically for my blog. I've been working on it all year long so it's been a big project for me. Please check it out if you haven't already and give me your feedback!

Friday I loaded up a lot of my stuff onto a trailer and put it into storage. Then what we didn't put in storage was taken to my parents house. Then Chris and I spent hours cleaning our old apartment, finally left at midnight, and arrived at our new (temporary) home at 1:30. So yeah, Saturday. Big day.

And I'm still tired from the whole thing so here's our midnight picture of us leaving apartment #4 in Logan, Utah for forever, completely unedited because of my exhaustion. And just look at my hair in that picture. I'm still that level of exhaustion.

My post announcing our move was called "The Biggest Change" because leaving Logan is honestly the biggest change I've made in my life in a long time. Already I'm seeing how different my life is going to be just by leaving Logan.

Logan has been great to me. Logan gave me my soulmate so I will always love the place for introducing me to him. But it was time for us to leave. We're both very happy with our decision and anxious/excited to see what will come.

If you're wondering, I'm not actually unemployed. I do have a job lined up, I just wasn't working this past week... which was super nice. Someday I want to be able to just write all day like I did most days this week. Writing is the real job I want. Someday I'm going to get it. Just you wait and see.

I want to thank all my wonderful blog readers/friends for being so supportive of our move. I had mentioned a lot of it had to do with my miscarriage, and the love I've gotten since that tragedy in my life has been greatly appreciated. My internet friends (you) are some of my greatest friends and I feel so blessed daily to get to interact with you.

Well, I know this is a shorter "Sunday Scrapbook" post, but the lack of sleep I've had is not doing me any good. I have some relaxing to do.

Please check out Heroes & Villains! Don't forget to follow me on social media! And I will see you all next week for another post! Love you!!

Sunday Scrapbook/Journal

Hello friends! So a while ago I started Sunday Scrapbook on my blog and literally did one post and it ended, because that's how good I am at blogging. But today I'm bringing it back, however there aren't going to be pictures, so it's really just a journal. I just have a lot of thoughts to get out.

So it is currently Saturday afternoon as I am writing this post, and I am sitting in bed like I have been for the past 48 hours. And yes, I am the laziest person you'll ever meet, but no this isn't out of laziness.

Monday night is when this all began. I got out of the shower and I was freezing. Literally shivering, teeth chattering, beyond freezing, and no matter what I did I couldn't get myself warm. Chris bundled me up in blankets and I went to bed early that night and he had felt my forehead and was pretty sure I had a fever.

So Tuesday through Thursday this same sort of thing kept happening throughout the day. I also seemed to have some weird stomach thing and had a difficult time eating non-bland foods, and even then it was difficult to keep food in. Not to mention a few migraines. But, despite being absolutely miserable I still went to work everyday because of my work's insane sick-leave policy.

But then Thursday night came and I was waking up and running to the bathroom every hour, nearly passing out every time I got up due to lack of food, and sweating uncontrollably from a ridiculously high fever. It was a terrible night and I woke up not feeling any better so Chris called into my work and said I wouldn't be coming in. Because despite the chance of getting in trouble for missing, they cannot expect me to work when I have a fever and am running to the bathroom every hour.

All of Friday was sitting in bed and running to the bathroom. It was gross, I've never felt more disgusting in my life. That night I took a shower, but the hot water and my lack of food almost made me pass out again.

Last night I slept a little better, but I was still burning up and freezing at the same time, sweating, and had to frequent the bathroom. (Which no longer makes sense to me. How is there anything left in me? I've already lost three pounds from this!)

Currently, I'm still having issues. I don't think I have a fever at the moment, but sitting up to write this is hurting my stomach. If I'm laying down I'm fine, so I'm just trying to get through this quickly.

Random note, bravo to my little Zoram. Our puppy is still having issues with training so he thinks that outside is for walking, running around, but not for playing with us. He thinks playtime should be done whenever Chris and I are trying to relax inside. So I have not been able to keep him around me much during my at-home imprisonment. I can't deal with my illness while fighting off a clawing, biting puppy. He's just chilling in the kitchen. Chris does come home and take him out, makes sure he gets playtime in, but we live in an apartment and due to several incidents he cannot go outside without his leash so I can't take him out in my current condition. I am checking on him, making sure he has food and water, but he's been super well behaved being alone in the kitchen the past two days. Bravo Zoram, my little cutie.

I'm pretty sure I should be seeing a doctor though considering how long this all has lasted. I don't think I've ever had an illness like this last so long and make me feel so terrible. Currently, my stomach is just aching, and I'm nibbling on Saltines and they aren't helping at all. So maybe, hopefully, I'll be seeing a doctor soon and this will get resolved quickly.

I'm very upset became tonight (again, this is being written on Saturday) is a Real Salt Lake game and we have tickets... but I can't go. With the complete lack of food in my body, still having stomach issues, and a fever that keeps coming back, going to a soccer game tonight sounds like a terrible idea. But I LOVE Real games and I'm really mad about this.

So you know how your emotions can effect your body and well-being? Well there's a part of me that keeps thinking that my fear of this week (the week my miscarried baby was due) is what made me sick. But that's way too powerful! I mean, I can't even take time to think about my lost child when I feel like this. I feel like absolute crap. I feel like I would rather take on the emotional pain than this, because this is freaking ridiculous. So if that's what happening I just want it all to stop. It would have been a bad week whether or not I got sick, but it made it 10 times worse by getting sick.

As for my post yesterday, I wrote that a few weeks ago when I was going through a rough patch. The last time I read it was actually a week ago and I don't feel like I can read it now. I miss my baby and I really wish I was pregnant again or that I had a baby now, even though I'm even more scared now than I was before. You never know what can happen with pregnancy, and even with young babies, and that stupid misfortunate miscarriage scarred me for life and I'm terrified of what might happen.

Also, because today was my due date I really wanted to do something special with Chris. Something fun to take our minds off of it. Lying in bed watching Friends on Netflix with Saltines and water is not at all what I had in mind and I'm super annoyed that this is what I'm stuck with. (Though I'm so in love with Friends, greatest show ever.)

This post is longer than I expected, and probably really boring since there are no pictures to go with it. Blog posts without pictures are just the worst! (I'm so guilty of doing that all the time though.) But if you've made it this far, congrats! You're a real member of the Dancing Cow Herd.

This was basically just storytelling about my week, journaling to be exact. So someday when I'm old I'll look back and find it just so fascinating that I was sick for a week once and never visited a doctor... or purchased an actual thermometer to measure my fever. But I can promise you my fever was rather high Thursday night. Sometimes you just know.

Well that's all for today, that's the rather boring journal of my week. Please leave a comment below about your favorite thing this week. My favorite was probably chatting with my friend Tony at work, he knew about my fever and migraine and kept making jokes and making me laugh, so bravo Tony.

I love you all and I hope to start consistently blogging again soon, but if I don't, check out my YouTube channel, because I have a couple pre-filmed videos that will be going up. Love you!

Sunday Scrapbook [Feb. 21st - 27th, 2016]

Hello friends! Today I am started a new segment on my blog that will hopefully help me keep up with blogging. Part of the reason I started this blog was to document my life and I feel like that portion has disappeared. So I've decided every Sunday to do a quick recap of my week with pictures. Kind of like a scrapbook, but without all the prettiness. Let me warn you now, I don't do anything with my life. Most the pictures and videos I'll post are me playing with filters on Snapchat (cowgirlkaylee22), but regardless documenting my life is important to me which is why this is happening. I hope you enjoy it and if you do something similar to this on your blog let me know, I'd love to see more examples of ways to make this better and make it my own.

Sunday February 21st:

Umm.... I'm pretty sure I did nothing today. Yeah. Nothing. But I did blog! You can find the post called Becoming A Warrior HERE. It's a personal favorite and was pretty popular on my Twitter. I'm so Twitter famous *wink wink. I also got an email through this blog which means something exciting is happening soon!!! ...it's a giveaway. I couldn't wait to spill the secret. Start liking my social media pages now to get more entries into the giveaway! I'm not sure exactly when it'll happen, but soon.

Monday February 22nd:

I did way too much shopping today. Ross, American Eagle, and Cotton On. I will be doing a haul video soon so you can see all my purchases! Also, I replaced Chris with my bear Oso:

Tuesday February 23rd:

Today was apparently National Toast Day. (How would we ever know about these obscure holidays without social media? Thanks Twitter for the heads-up.) So I posted this photo on Twitter in honor of the holiday:

And I'll be honest, I was really upset that no one liked my Tweet. Does no one care about Nacho Libre? Sure you may not be able to quote it as easily or often as my husband, but doesn't it still just make you laugh? It's Jack Black for crying out loud!!

Wednesday February 24th:

So last night I slept with my hair in braids so I would have wavy hair and, yeah, it was insane.

(Sorry for the blurry picture) This picture is even tame compared to the way it looked right after I took the braids out. It's been a long time since I've done this with my hair and considering how annoying it was I'm pretty sure I remember why I stopped. Although this kid at my work said it looked nice.

Also, I need to get my ombre fixed. In pictures it always looks like I'm in weird lighting so the top is randomly dark. I want to go back to my cousin since she originally did my color, but she lives to far away it's hard to justify a long drive just for a hair dye. So if you live in Cache Valley and want to do my hair for cheap you should let me know.

So last Saturday Zoram started his puppy training classes, which he embarrassed us in. But we got some pointers on leash walking, which previously Zoram would have nothing to do with. This week he picked it up quickly. Honestly, Sunday Chris was dragging Zoram around on the leash and today:

He's a little professional. We spent our lunch break walking him around the block. It's a short walk, but he's doing fantastic and he loves it.

Thursday February 25th:

Work is hard. Being an adult is hard. And when you're tired, nauseous, and have a headache, there's no better day to wear your hair in pigtails and pretend you have a weird mustache.

Friday February 26th:

Today I built a metal shelf thing I bought at K-Mart's closing sale that goes above the toilet. But it's slightly lopsided and I couldn't get one of the shelves to fit. I'm upset.

Then I went into Chris's work with Zoram and let him wander the aisles. Whenever Zoram saw his reflection in a refrigerator or oven he would freak out and it was pretty funny. I'm pretty sure he technically shouldn't be wandering Sears, but I'm grateful that Chris's boss hasn't said anything about it.

When we got back home I was making Chris watch My Fair Lady with me, but he fell asleep before "The Rain in Spain" which is lame. I stopped it at intermission anyways because it was already midnight. I grew up with musicals, I love musicals, and I love introducing them to Chris even though he's never a big fan. Except with Phantom of the Opera, because let's be honest that movie was incredible and the music is just so dang good!! Anyways, here's a Spotify playlist of my favorite musicals, it's fun to put on shuffle and great to sing along to.

Saturday February 27th:

Today I woke up at like 11, because Saturdays are my sleep in days, then immediately took Zoram on a long walk, then spent forever getting ready while watching 13 Going on 30, then took Zoram on another walk to PetSmart for his class. Zoram was great in his class today because it was on loose leash walking... which we walked to the class so he didn't need too much extra help. I don't think he is going to have his bad reputation in class anymore! Yay!
