All-Natural With Zak Detox Deodorant [Giveaway Closed]

Words can not describe the mix of excitement and anxiety that filled me while taking these photos. For the majority of my life, I have been the girl who wears makeup constantly. And I mean constantly. Beaches, lazy days, I'm pretty sure I even wore makeup to have surgery last year.

But today's post is all about being healthy and all-natural so I took photos in my bedroom in my Chewbacca pajamas and with natural hair and no makeup. It was slightly terrifying posting this, but I'm happy with how it turned out... and even more happy to offer a giveaway with Zak Body Care for you!!

As some of you may recall, near the beginning of this year I did my first real giveaway with Zak Body Care. I tested out their original deodorant, which I promptly fell in love with, and then I was able to give one away to one of my amazing readers!!

Well, today I'm happy to announce I'm not only doing a giveaway but am also offering a code to buy your own Zak's Detox Deodorant for a discounted cost! I love all my readers and want you all to be able to try out a natural and healthy deodorant!

Zak Body Care is a company that I am so happy to work with. The people I have worked with through this experience have been so kind and helpful. This is a company that gives great customer service while providing a quality product.

All of Zak's Detox Deodorants are:
  • Aluminum free,
  • Cruelty-free,
  • GMO-free,
  • Paraben free,
  • And are made from 100% natural ingredients.
Zak's website states: "Deodorant should promote health, not undermine it."  It's amazing what horrible ingredients products can get away with these days. Health risks can be found in almost any product. So it's nice to find a company focused on promoting health and natural ingredients instead of chemicals.

Being all-natural can sometimes be a change. Whether it's taking photos makeup-less (and bra-less) or trying out a new deodorant, it's a change. For my husband, putting "all-natural" on a product turns him off to it. He doesn't believe that all-natural things are worth the hype. But for Zak Detox Deodorant, being all-natural isn't any gimmick or fad, it's a quality deodorant that keeps you, and your skin healthy.

This time around, I tested out the new Super Smooth formula. And while I was already a fan of their original formula, I like this one so much better. The application is much easier. It glides on with no effort and, just like the original, it lasts all day with no stink! With my new job, I'm on my feet a lot and there's a lot of stress, but this deodorant keeps my stress-sweats from being any issue. I promise you, this new formula is worth trying out.

I'm so excited to be able to share this new formula with one of you FOR FREE! I love receiving free things and I'm sure you do too. But even if you don't win, remember you can still get your own Detox Deodorant at a discounted cost with the code below.

This giveaway will run from today until November 30th. There are multiple ways to gain entries into the giveaway, a few are mandatory but some are just for fun. (And one you can do every day for additional entries!) All information on the giveaway and its rules are listed below.

Good luck to you all! Stay tuned for more fun stuff coming to my blog soon!

For those who already know they're going to love this new formula, you can buy your own by CLICKING HERE and enter the code ZAKDANCE20 to get 20% off your purchase!

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Giveaway ends 11/30/2016. Open to legal residents of the US only. Winner will be selected at random by Rafflecopter.com and be notified by email. Winner will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is selected.  I will make every effort to assist you in obtaining your prize. If there is an issue with receiving your prize, please notify this blog within 30 days for assistance, after that we may be unable to assist you. The product provided for the review was free of charge from the company. The product offered for the giveaway is free of charge, no purchase necessary. Random Thoughts

Sometimes I just like to write random thoughts that pop into my head, because... why not.

-I miss my beta fish. Juan and Sassy. They were awesome and then I gave them to my brother out of kindness and because I knew they wouldn't survive the trip to Texas, and within a month he killed them both. He told me Sassy died through a Snapchat and never told me Juan died. Stupid Snapchat. I had ten seconds to see my gay fish for the last time...

-I keep forgetting my new address. But give me a break. Chris and I have been married a year and a half and this is our fourth apartment. UGH! As much as I want to move out of Logan, I also don't want to move again for a while.

-Lately I've been obsessed with New Girl, because it's awesome. My favorite quote from this show is: "I just want to listen to Taylor Swift alone." Story of my life. :) But I also love Zooey Deschanel. She might be my next "Style Icon" on this blog.

-Speaking of Taylor Swift, I don't believe I've mentioned on this blog just how OBSESSED I am with her new song. And the music video. She's such an awkward dancer and I love it. And I know this song came out months ago and she just released a newer one, but still so obsessed. Taylor Swift will always be one of my favorites.

-I also don't believe I've mention specifically on my blog that my brother-in-law is getting married next month. It was on my Twitter and Instagram and maybe my Facebook, but I don't think I put it on the blog. Remember last year when I posted about my "new brother"? Well it's that brother, Sheldon. He's marrying this girl named Aubrey who is awesome and we're already like sisters and I helped her pick out her wedding dress and she is going to look FABULOUS!!! Seriously, that dress is amazing on her. Sheldon and Aubrey are also the newest members of "the dancing cow family" (AKA, liking my Facebook page), so they deserve a shout out for their awesomeness. Thank you!

-I just really want to dye my hair. I messed it up and it turned red and now my roots are growing in and it looks weird. I have a $50 gift card that can be used at over 100 spas and salons across the U.S. but none of those are in Logan. So lame. So either I have to pay full price and use my gift card at a later date or drive to Ogden to get my hair done, but with gas money I'm pretty sure that just makes it cost more. So annoyed right now.

-I love Lego video games. I played Lego Star Wars for like... two weeks, and now we're on the Lego Movie Lego game. It's awesome.

-I miss Avatar. Not the stupid blue people movie which I hate, Avatar: The Last Airbender. I watched two episodes last night and I'm just sad that it doesn't really exist anymore. Because honestly, that it one of the greatest shows there ever was and it's my favorite. It will always be one of my favorites and I am going to raise my kids to watch it all the time. In fact, it may be the only show I'll allow them to watch.

-I love fall!! But it's always so short in Utah I don't get to fully enjoy it before the snow comes. But I just love pumpkins. We bought a little pumpkin and it's adorable and I love it.

-Well I don't really have any more random thoughts for today. I think I'm going to go shopping now. And by shopping I mean, explore the mall and not spend any money.

Five On Friday: A Sign From God

This post is part of a link-up I do with The Good Life. If you don't already, you should join in on the fun! And if you found me through the link-up, welcome to my blog! Everyone reading, if you don't want to read through the whole thing, just skip down to #5 because it's my favorite and it's super important and I'd love you forever if you read it! THANK YOU!!!

{one}
So I downloaded an awesome app on my new phone which made my notification ringtone sound like this little guy:

And I'm pretty much in love. I get super excited whenever someone sends me a text because then I get to hear the adorable R2D2, who is my most favorite character in the whole Star Wars franchise. Yep, my favorite character is a droid who doesn't actually talk, but he honestly has the most personality!

{two}
Next week is my Spring Break!

And you know what I'm doing with my Spring Break (Wa hoo!) ...homework and working. Yep, I'm staying in Logan and getting relaxation, caught up on homework, and going to work to get paid (because it's still Money Free March). To be honest, I didn't even realize it was Spring Break until Monday, and I don't really care. I've never gone anywhere for Spring Break (except to Washington and Idaho my first year, but it wasn't a vacation, see #5 below) and I honestly enjoy staying and making some money. Because it's just relaxing to be out of school for a week. And Logan is dead when all the college students leave so you can go anywhere with no lines!

{three}
(Sorry, no YouTube video for this one) I have gone to the gym three times this week. Yay me! But let's backtrack a little. On Monday I was having issues with my depression and was just really feeling down. One of my main issues was when I looked in the mirror, I just wasn't happy. While THIS POST was written as a joke, I've really been struggling lately seeing how much weight I've gained since my wedding. I'm just not happy with myself. So while I can't just get rid of my depression, I can get rid of the extra weight that's bothering me. And this week I've been eating right and going to the gym and it's honestly making me happier. Yay for working out!

{four}
I went through the third season of Dance Academy on Netflix this week!

I truly love this show! I don't know how they do it but they make you simply fall in love with all the characters and really care about their lives and their drama (which is so unrealistic sometimes but I still love it). My husband hates it so I watch it while he's working, but I love this show so very much and it just makes me miss ballet and want to dance!!! Which leads into #5...

{five}
(This one is my favorite so pay attention!) Last night at work I was listening to my iPod (which, that alone is a rare occurrence because I hate having my headphones compete with the vacuum, but I was by myself, not vacuuming, and super bored so I needed some music (this whole event was miraculous and like a sign from God and the fact that I was listening to my iPod, which I normal don't, is just an incredible event)) and a song comes on that I first heard four years ago, almost exactly to the date (Spring Break 2010), right after my Grandpa's funeral. And when I first heard that song I replayed it over and over again and I knew in that moment that I had to choreograph a dance to this song about my grandpa and his relationship with my grandma.

I don't find it a coincidence that almost exactly four years later I hear the song on my iPod, replay it a few times, listening again to the beautiful words and picturing the dance in my head, almost in tears as it tells the story of my grandma and grandpa.

Recently I've been talking a lot about how I don't know what I want to do with my life anymore. I've been dancing since I was four years old and have been talking my whole life about wanting to dance forever and to teach dance. But somewhere along the way I forgot about dance and how much joy it brings me.

The event last night felt like a sign from God that I need to get back into dance. Not just that, but I absolutely need to choreograph that dance tribute to my grandpa who almost exactly four years ago passed away. So I have a new unofficial goal to finish the choreography for this dance and somehow, somewhere teach it to a willing couple. I absolutely have to see that dance in real life. When I listen to the song, I can see the dance clearly in my head and it brings me to tears. I need to see it in person, I need to create it.

I don't think it's a sign to drop everything and strictly devote my life to dance, but it's something I need to get back into soon. I feel so humbled and so blessed to have received this sign and I am truly grateful for an answer to my stress and problems from my loving Father in Heaven. I am truly blessed.

And Grandpa Clark, I love you very much. I love that even though you're gone I keep learning more and more about you and I keep loving you more with each new story. I miss you. We're taking good care of Grandma for you, she's happy but she misses you very much. I love you Grandpa, you are truly amazing and you are greatly missed. I can't wait to see you again someday!

Pinterest Sunday: Candles, Star Wars Kids, Red Pants, Cashew Chicken, Bat-Cat, Pink Sparkles, Autumn, Snails, Cardigan, Tennis Shoes, Relief Society Binder, Carmel Highlights, Weed, and Choosing to Be Happy

New Years is on it's way, can you believe it's almost 2014?? I love the simple-ness of this craft! I'm also in love with glitter. This could also be done for other types of candles. Like a leaf for November or mistletoe for Christmas.

These are the cutest little Star Wars costumes!! I absolutely love it!

I love this outfit! Love love love!

I'm so in love with cashew chicken! It's one of my favorite things in the world. Yet I swear every Chinese restaurant I go to, doesn't have it and it makes me so depressed. I hope this recipe is good!

Cutest Bat-Cat ever! Happy Halloween!

This dress is fabulous! It's so me!

I love when the leaves change colors! It's my favorite time of year!

Web Video Wednesday: Cello Wars

Chris and I have been watching a lot of Star Wars lately... because it's awesome!! So inspired by that, I bring you this:

It's super dorky but the music in Star Wars is incredible (John Williams, love him!) and this version of it is absolutely fantastic! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! :) Also, don't forget to check out The Piano Guys on Youtube because they are incredibly talented and they're from Utah like me!

September Favorites

FAVORITE SNACK: Popcorn

Honestly, I've always been addicted to popcorn, but this month I've had a ridiculous amount. I LOVE POPCORN!! The other day at work, they were showing Space Jam (because why wouldn't we show Space Jam at a college student center?) and they had this table with bags of popcorn and cans of soda. I (very sneakily) stole three of those bags. I'm so addicted...

FAVORITE TV SHOW: How I Met Your Mother

I've always been in love with HIMYM! But just this month did my husband and I start catching up on the eighth season. I just love it so much and I'm happy to be watching it again.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Star Wars

Chris and I had a Star Wars movie marathon this month and I was reminded just how much I love these movies!! All six of them!! But this time particularly I enjoyed episode 3. It's just so sad but so good... even if some of the acting is silly. I also learned this month that my coworker has never seen Star Wars and I was shocked! So if you've never seen Star Wars, you really need to!!

FAVORITE SONG: Roar

I wish I could say it was a different song... like Atlas or Almost is Never Enough, because I listened to both of those a lot this month too. However, Roar is just so empowering and it's been fantastically guiding me to be more confident. So I have to give it credit for that.

FAVORITE WEB VIDEO: Tonight You Belong to Me

I have watched this video so many times this week! I am so in love with how adorable it it! I just love it so much!! I don't have much more to say about it except that I love it. Again.

FAVORITE BLOG: Grasping for Objectivity

This has always been a favorite. It's the blog I wish mine could be. However, this month particularly I loved this post because it's so simple, cute, and silly. She's a fantastic writer, super funny, and she always comments back on your comments, making you feel important. She also is currently home schooling her daughter in first grade, and as a future first grade teacher, she's a great help to me. Check it out!

FAVORITE PRODUCT: Got2B Beach Trippin'

I love my sleep so I don't always have the time in the mornings to do much to my hair. This product is amazing at giving my hair a natural wave/curl kind of look that is super simple and fast. I just spray and scrunch. I've been using this all month and even though the bottle looks small, I haven't run out yet, not even close. So it last a while too. This isn't an official review, but I do love this product.

FAVORITE/MOST POPULAR POST: The Cache Valley Checklist

You guys are incredible to be supportive of this post! I absolutely loved writing it and I cannot wait to complete all the items on this checklist and would love for you to all check back and read about my adventures!

FAVORITE EVENT: Real Salt Lake

I'm cheating on this one because it was actually in August, however, it was after I wrote my August Favorites post, so I'm squeezing it in here. I don't know if you can tell, but in the top picture, that's Ty Burrell from Modern Family. Yep, he was at the Real Salt Lake game! It was a great game! Chris and I absolutely love Real games because they are just so much fun!!

I'll redeem myself by also adding a September event:

I wanted this so badly to be my favorite, but I was sick and miserable. The above picture is from The Great Gatsby Literary Ball held on the USU campus. It was such a cool event! There was dancing, poker, food, and they played the new Great Gatsby movie. We mainly just watched the movie because I felt so sick. I hate being sick. I was wearing a Latin ballroom costume that works as a 20's flapper girl dress, I also gave myself a fake bob with my hair (that Chris really loved and now he wants me to cut my hair, not happening). I had been really looking forward to this event, and I did have a good time, but it wasn't as fun as I had hoped because a) I was sick and b) I didn't have any friends there to hang out with, just my husband. It would have been more fun if we had been in a little group. Oh well though.

These are all my September Favorites! Leave a comment if you like these posts or have any suggestions for me. Thanks for reading!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway before October 6th!

Pinterest Sunday: Black & Navy, Bread, Octobers, Cantaloupe, Han Solo, Baby, Kay, Hoodie, Get Well, Brain Sneeze, Bag Lady, Smith Family, and Moo Point

I pinned this because I am in love with every part of this picture! Her shoes, her pants, her shirt, her jacket, her bracelet, her hair, and especially that bag!! Goodness, if someone would mail this exact outfit to me I would love you forever!

"Miracle Bread" This supposedly takes one hour from start to finish and is supposed to taste super good. I'm excited to try it out! Click on the link for the recipe!

Everyday at work my friend Todd and I talk about how excited we are for Fall and Halloween! Also, yesterday when writing my Cache Valley Checklist I got really distracted looking up all the Fall events for the Pumpkin Walk and at Little Bear Bottoms. I'm just so excited!

This is so lame but I laughed, so maybe you'll laugh too.

Chris and I had a Star Wars marathon last weekend so I have Star Wars on the brain. (Secret time, Chris and I are being Han and Leia for Halloween!)

Cutest baby ever! I went to a baby shower yesterday so I have baby-on-the-brain.

I got so excited when I first saw this because it's the first part of my name!! It come with instructions on how to put words in a cake, found HERE and the best part is, it doesn't look too difficult!

I am a huge fan of hoodies and this one is super cute! I want it!

"Get Well Soon Gift" This is super cute and I love it! The Pin took me to this website HERE but it didn't lead to the direct post, sorry!

Any Duck Dynasty fans out there? I think the show is so funny and this quote is the best!

I don't know if you've realized from all my Pinterest Sunday posts, but I'm a bag lady. I'm obsessed with bags and would buy a new purse once a month if I could. I love the bag in this picture as well as her outfit!

I'm late on the whole Miley Cyrus VMA thing. I did watch it, I was mortified, but I found no reason to write about such filth on this blog. But I pinned this picture of the Smith family reacting her her performance, because this picture is exactly how I felt and it makes me laugh.

This is my favorite quote from Friends. Hands down. So awesome and yes Rachel, it does make sense. :)

My Honeymoon!

So I want to write all about my wedding day, but I don't have all the pictures yet, so that will have to wait for a little while.

My honeymoon was INCREDIBLE!!! ...except for the beginning.

So we spent our wedding night at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. Everyone at that hotel is so nice. They gave us chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling citrus lemonade and a gift certificate to come back on our anniversary. I wish I had pictures, but unfortunately my brother had my camera. We had to meet up with my mom the next day to get my camera, but it's okay because when we met my mom she gave us more of our wedding cake (which was the most delicious cake of my life).

Then we drove to Chris's parent's house, or, my new in-laws. It was Mother's Day and we were able to talk with Chris's brother Sheldon (who is on an LDS mission in Michigan) on Skype. It was really cool to talk to him. I've only met him once and that was before Chris and I were even dating. I'm very excited I'll get to officially meet him when he gets home in November.

So then Chris's parents drove us to the airport so we could catch our flight to California! So we go through baggage, security and we sit at wait for almost two hours and then they announce that our flight is cancelled. What? When does that ever happen? Seriously? In the winter that happens a lot, but not on a bright sunny day in May!

So the airline arranges a new flight plan for us, but it left 11:00 AM the next day, went to Seattle, then to Portland, then it landed in California at 7:00 PM. We called the airline and talked to them about that. The guy on the phone told Chris "Wow! They have you going across the whole country!" And then he changed our flight to the same time the next day. So we were stuck in Utah for another day.

My new mother-in-law got us a room at their time share in Wolf Creek (thanks again Michelle!). We were able to use the hot tub and just relax. It was really nice. The next day we drove to Ogden and went to the Dinosaur Park!!

After that we were dropped off at the airport again and this time, our flight was not cancelled!!

So we landed, rented our car and drove to our hotel, which had this beautiful view... of DISNEYLAND!!!

Yep, the tall building on the right is the Tower of Terror!! So we settled in and ate at a delicious place at the Garden Walk in Anaheim (but I'm writing a whole other post about all the delicious food we ate on our trip).

The next day we went to Huntington Beach. I was very upset because I wanted to go there so I could specifically go to Dwights, but it was closed. :( But I do love Huntington Beach. It's absolutely beautiful!

So we did lots of playing in the water, burying each other and soaking up the sun! Then we got some food and enjoyed a Farmers Market going on and did some shopping. I absolutely loved it! I'm a huge fan of beaches! Why I live in Utah where there are none, I'm not sure! But I just love going to the beach!

That night we went to see The Great Gatsby. I'm a huge fan! The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books and I'm beyond excited to teach it when I teach high school English and I found the movie to be very good!

The next day was DISNEYLAND!!! Chris surprised me and got us these fabulous matching shirts! We also went and got these "Just Married" pins at the Disneyland City Hall. If you are going to Disneyland on your honeymoon, I highly suggest doing this. All the workers, and lots of other Disneyland goers, would congratulate us and we ended up getting three fast passes because of them! Totally worth it.

I cannot say enough about Disneyland, I'm in love! I would go there everyday if I could! It just makes me so happy to be there!

We spent the next day in California Adventure and had such a great time! The new Cars Land is incredible! It's so authentic! The rides are awesome and the food is great! We were in love with the ice cream cones! I got one everyday! We also loved the Radiator Spring Racers! Best ride ever, and  the only rides we went on twice in a row, thanks to a generous man who gave us his fast passes!

I wore my Perry the Platypus shirt at California Adventure and the guy on the Phineas and Ferb parade float pointed at me and said over the microphone that he like my shirt. I felt very special. :)

Yep, they really were pointing at me. The next, and last day of our trip we had a park hopper ticket and visited both Disneyland and California Adventure. However, it was a Friday, and incredibly busy. We hardly got to go on any rides and waited forever for the few rides we were able to go on.

But we just loved being together! Oh! And watching the Jedi Training Academy! Because we both love Star Wars!!

Chris was just upset he wasn't allowed to participate. But it was okay because we enjoyed watching the little kids. They were so adorable! And were so great at defeating Darth Vader and Darth Maul. ;)

The next day we had the best meal of our life (information coming soon) and took our flight home.

Overall, it was literally the best trip of my life! I loved every minute of it! I loved being with Chris 24/7! I'm so happy we're finally married! I love being married to him! He is my best friend and the most important person in my whole life! I can't wait to take another trip with him! Especially if it's to Disneyland!! :)

PS, on the day I wore this shirt to Disneyland, I saw at least 20 other women wearing this shirt. Apparently it's really popular. And I totally understand why, $8 at Target? Totally worth it!
