Pinterest Sundays: Smart, Baby Cows, Living Room, Bookcase, Books to Movies, Blue Umbrella, School, and Clothes

I apologize in advance, this one has a lot. :)

I loved reading through this. It's so true that in our Mormon culture we feel completely worthless if something happens. I love Elizabeth Smart and feel she is a real inspiration to not on LDS members, but to the world. You can find the story HERE

Last October-ish, before I was even engaged, my mom and I saw an adorable cow costume for babies. My mom got all excited and told me I needed to get it for my children. I informed her (though it was completely obvious) that I had no children and I wasn't going to buy baby costumes when I wasn't even engaged. I'm now married, but I'm still not getting one till I'm pregnant.... but yes, all my kids will be wear a cow costume at some point in their lives.

I absolutely love this!!! I really want to make curtains for our living room (when I have money again) and I want them similar to this. And actually, that desk thing would look really good as well. When we are financially stable, I'm modeling our living room after this picture.

I would love one of these in our little bathroom. Because it's open on two sides, it wouldn't feel crowded in there. I also need something by my bed, and this would be good for that too.

14 Books to Read Before They Hit The Big Screen. I have been wanting to read Divergent, but this list has other interesting books I'll have to check out as well.

One of my favorite things in the world are Pixar Shorts. If you haven't seen Monsters University yet, you probably haven't seen The Blue Umbrella. I loved it. It was super cute!

27 Ways to Have the Healthiest School Year Ever. I am super excited for school to start this month!!!! I'm going crazy just waiting for the USU semester to start! I really like this article and the tips that it has. Hopefully I can keep on track this semester and everything will go smoothly.

I absolutely love everything about this outfit!!! I love the shoes so much! I'm really sick of the clothes in my closet and want to replace the majority of them, but, again, I have no money. So that will have to wait. But I have a large board of clothes to buy on Pinterest when I finally get the money. :)

Mr. Fishie

I'd like you all to meet Mr. Fishie, the very first fish I've ever caught!! It was one of the most exciting things of my life and I've never had a greater freakout in my life. I was super happy.

And it totally distracted me from the awful, awful sunburn I was getting (seriously, my ears are so burnt, they are blistered). And even though he scared me a bit, I took a picture with him.

I loved Mr. Fishie. My brother, husband and dad all said he was also very delicious. So he lived to fulfill a great purpose, to feed the boys in my family. :)

Welcome to August!!

It's only August 3rd but I can already tell this will be a great month!

Today my husband and I got home from a much needed vacation in Jackson Hole! My grandma has a condo there and my family has been going there every year since I was eight, maybe, I honestly can't remember when we first started going. I absolutely love our annual trips and this year was probably my favorite Jackson Hole trip ever, possibly because it was the first year I got to spend it with my new husband. This was Chris's first Jackson Hole experience and we both had an amazing time!

I CAUGHT MY FIRST FISH THIS MONTH!!! I can't even begin to describe how excited and dramatic my reaction was when I saw Mr. Fishie jump out of the water and felt him on my line! It was the greatest freakout of my life and one of the most exciting things to happen to me!

I start school again this month!!! I'm super excited! I haven't been in school since April of 2012. I honestly cannot wait to go back! And even though our FAFSA and financial aid hasn't been all figured out (the Finacial Aid Office's fault, not mine) I just know that everything is going to turn out. It's going to be a great semester!

I have this feeling that I'm going to find a job this month. I don't know what it is. It's weird since our whole vacation I didn't do any job searching so that kind of put me back a bit, but I just have the feeling this month things are going to start turning better.

My best friend gets married this month!!! I am super excited for her!!! I'm also excited because I know her and her mom well enough to know that this will be a very beautiful and elegant wedding. I've already seen what I'm wearing as a bridesmaid and it totally beats what my bridesmaids wore (sorry friend, but I still loved your outfits).

This month marks three months that my husband and I have been married. That's a quarter of a year! Ha ha. But I'm just so happy to have him around. He truly makes me life better and I love him with all my heart!

This month is also the one year anniversary of this blog!!!! YAY!!! I really wanted to do a giveaway, but considering I'm unemployed and in debt, that's not really possible right now. But I am very happy about my blog being a year old. I'll write more on this later, on the actually date of the anniversary.

I won a blog award this month! I'm super excited about it! It may not mean much to everyone, but it means a great deal to me to be recognized. You can read all about it HERE.

Lastly, but this isn't a good thing, my husband and I are getting rid of our Comcast account because we're broke. So I probably won't be blogging quite as much. I am close to campus and I get free Wi-Fi there, but it's not quite as convenient as having it at home. So I do apologize I won't be writing as much in the next couple months, but it's just until we're more financially stable.

I have a lot of post coming up this weekend though while I still have internet access in my home. I will be writing all about my Jackson Hole trip, my surgery and my suddenly positive attitude. So come back soon to read more!! :)

It made me so happy that she thought of me and I hope you all check out her blog (linked above). Thank you so much Kalee!!!

So here are the 11 questions that I was asked:

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR BLOG NAME?
I created my blog name simply because of my love of cows and my love of dancing. It doesn't have any special meaning or anything, it was just for fun. :)

A BOOK YOU'VE READ RECENTLY
My husband and I both read Jurassic Park and we both loved it!! He then read the second one, Lost World, but didn't love it quite as much, so I'm a little nervous to start it.

GOLD OR SILVER?
Always silver. I own almost no gold. My husband picked out my wedding ring and it's a good thing he picked silver.

NAME ONE PET PEEVE
I hate gum. I hate people popping their gum, playing with their gum, chewing gum loudly, throwing gum on the ground. I just hate gum in its entirety. Eww...

WHAT'S SOMETHING YOU'VE LEARNED RECENTLY?
I learned to always always always wear sunscreen. I currently have the worst sunburn of my life. My ears are burnt so badly they have blisters on them. I also am not supposed to let myself burn at all due to recent health issues. So I've learned I always need to wear sunscreen.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SEASON AND WHY?
I love summer because I love warmth, but I think my favorite has to be fall. I love the colors, the clothes, Halloween, my birthday, and last fall was when I got engaged. I love fall!

IS BEING A BLOGGER EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE?
Absolutely!!! I've been writing stories and poems and such since I was in first grade. I've always loved writing and blogging is the most fun writing experience I currently get (because I'm stuck writing five essays a week in my major at USU).

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Currently, my biggest goal is to visit Hawaii, because I never have. But my husband served his LDS mission in Scotland and we are both saving up money to visit there.

ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON?
No. I am really grouchy in the mornings. But I'm fairly good at waking up early when I need to.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW BLOGGERS?
Even though my blog in now one year old, I still feel like a newbie. But my best advice would probably be to keep going and not get down if you don't have a lot of followers or page views. I don't have as many followers as I would like, but I don't let it get me down because writing makes me happy, and that's what's most important.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 FAVORITE BLOGS?
My number one is Grasping for Objectivity because it's the blog I wish mine could be, but I'm not as funny as she is. Then Fred Rongo because I grew up with Kalee and I love looking at her style. The last one is either Our Best Bites, Back on Pointe, or Lauren Conrad. I look at all of these daily.

  5. I'm partially addicted to my laptop because I'm always on it.
  6. I like a lot of boy-ish movies like Star Trek, Transformers, and Star Wars. I love them all a lot.
  7. I don't actually know how to swim.
  8. I was married in the Draper, Utah LDS Temple and when I was 18 I was chosen to sing in a youth choir at it's dedication. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done.
  9. I've been dancing since I was about four. I've done ballet, jazz, tap, and both Latin and standard ballroom.
  10. My husband works at Papa Johns and I hate Papa Johns pizza. But I do love pizza in general.
  11. I was born a few weeks past my due date and weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces. I was my mom's biggest baby and am now the smallest in the family.
