Style Icon: Emma Stone

Once upon a time my roommates introduced me to Easy A , which became one of my favorite movies, and helped me fall in love with Emma Stone (in a completely platonic way of course). I mean, seriously, just look at how great she was in Easy A:

I think Emma Stone is fantastic. She's a great actress, witty, funny, beautiful, and has such a great outlook on life. She is down to earth and amazing. And her relationship with Andrew Garfield is the cutest thing ever. I want them to be together forever. They're adorable and perfect.

But for the purposes of this post, she's also has great style. She has a very laid back wardrobe while still looking incredible. Honestly, she looks amazing all the time. She looks great with every hair color, her makeup is always fantastic, and her style is one of my favorites.

She wears jeans a lot which really speaks to me because jeans are the best. I wear jeans a lot. But Emma Stone has a way of looking classy and well put together no matter what. Even when she's out walking her dog she looks incredible. She knows how to put both casual and classy items together in the perfect way. She looks great no matter what and that's why she's my current style icon.

And now here are many pictures of her style, starting with personal quotes from her about her outlook on beauty. Here's to hoping this amazing actress wins at the Oscars on Sunday!

And now, because I'm literally obsessed with their relationship...

I honestly love them.

Valentines Weekend Book Club!

So I really want to start up my book club again but I've been horrible at giving myself time to read. Last year I kept complaining about having to read books for school so I couldn't do book club, but now I'm just working and I have plenty of time, but I spend it watching TV instead. So lame!

I picked a new book from the library to read and I'm very excited for it (I'll get to the title in a second) and it's main theme is about teenage romance (the greatest kind of romance there is). But this weekend I want all my readers to read or reread a love story in honor of Valentines Day and then leave me a comment or send me a tweet about their favorite love story!

The book I chose to read is Eleanor & Park .

I have heard many good things about this book but I have never read it before. Here's a brief look into what it's about, from Amazon:

Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love—and just how hard it pulled you under.

One of my favorite Youtubers, Meghan Rienks, has said this is one of her favorite books and she seems to have a similar taste in books as I do so I trust her opinion, at least for myself. To each his own. Which is why I'm giving you the option of picking your own book and telling me all about it so I can have more books on my reading list (which is packed but always ready for more).

As always, (but it's been so long we all probably have forgotten) we are an official Book Club on GoodReads. You can find our club HERE and anyone is welcome. Remember, there is no commitment, no stress, and I'll try to put up a new book each month. But this month is different since we're already half way through it and you're picking your own. But please have fun with the one you pick and don't forget to tell me about it!! I always want book suggestions!

Remember to Tweet about your book with #DancingCowBookClub so everyone can hear about the book you're reading. As always, thank you for your participation and I hope you have fun reading!!

Marvel Superheros!

I have spent the whole duration of this blog being as honest to you as possible. I tell you almost everything about my life and I tell in truthfully. I never want to lie or give you a false perspective of me and my life. Which is what brings us to this "fashion" post.

I am not a fashion icon nor do I ever aspire to be. I wear what I want to wear. I wear what makes me comfortable and happy. Giving you fashion posts on this blog is something that I truly love doing because I love clothes and shopping and dressing up. But I also like dressing down and it feels wrong for me to hide that from you.

I want to continue doing fashion posts, but this is the start of everyday wear, the clothes you won't see on other blogs. This is who I am and the way I dress and there is no use in hiding it.

Today's outfit is for a lazy Saturday. I'm in love with these leggings and my t-shirt. I watched The Amazing Spiderman the other day and I'm truly in love with him and most other Marvel superheroes. Sure Batman is incredible, but I think overall Marvel is my favorite. But it's not like I read comic books or anything, my opinion is purely based on movies.

For this and future blog posts I'm going to try a bit harder to find links to the exact articles of clothing shown. This has always been a problem because most of my wardrobe I've had for years, but I've gotten rid of a lot of my older stuff and I'm trying to restart my wardrobe. It's been fun.

So anyways, here is a lazy Saturday outfit with leggings and Uggs, and seeing just how much gray and black I could wear. Also, I was taking pictures outside in the morning in this outfit and I wasn't cold, which is highly irregular for the beginning of February in Northern Utah. This has honestly been the weirdest winter of my life.

Also, I apologize for the sun in my face and my squinted eyes.
